LX-T100 is a terrae type simulant and consists of 100% anorthosite as the starting material, the bedrock of the highland regions of the moon. The simulant is designed for general purpose and is well suited for terramechanical applications or ISRU research.
The LX-MARS regolith simulant is a synthetic Martian soil that mimics the properties of real Martian regolith. LX-MARS is similar in its mineralogical, chemical and physical properties to the average Martian surface deposits. The simulant reproduces the formation of regolith particles on Mars through evaporation by combining the various starting particles into more complex agglomerates through wet mixing, subsequent drying and grinding.
Many places are not just terrae or mare, they are mixtures of the two. We offer ready-made blends, the system is simple: The main component is abbreviated in the name and indicated with the percentage. E. g. LX-T70 is 70% Terrae and the rest (30%) is Mare.
